Lifeguards play a key role in ensuring a safe environment for swimmers at pools and public beaches. They are usually advanced swimmers who have received training from professional teachers for public safety.
GDMPC’s – La Bella Vida conduct 5 daystraining for proper rescue for disasters and emergencies especially in public pools & beaches. The said training was held at La Bella Vida Mountain Resort & Eco-Agri Park last April 28 – May 2, 2016.It was facilitated by Red Cross representative Mr. Francisco Balcita. They were able to understand the importance of their role on pool and water safety. They were also trained in emergency rescue procedures, including CPR and first aid techniques. After their basic theory, they had simulated drowning to apply their learnings on proper rescue techniques. As thesafety advocates say that, “preventing potentially dangerous situations takes a combination of well-trained, vigilant lifeguards and watchful parents or chaperons”.
