"Healthy living" to most people means both physical and mental health are balance or functioning well in a person. In many instances, physical and mental health is closely linked, for a change (good or bad) in one directly affects the other.
GDMPC staff continues its advocacy in conducting community development activities such as providing supplementary feeding which involves giving of free meals for those less fortunate children. In connection with this, Calamba Branch launched its activity in which less fortunate children received a pair of slippers which aims to reduce the sufferings of barefooted children to have a decent pair of footwear. The gesture is a concrete expression of love and faith in which the recipients of the said activities were made to feel that they are important part of the community and that their presence is not only acknowledged but also given an importance of some members in the society.
Another activity in connection to health, GDMPC head office facilitate a medical check up to our members especially those who were in deep illness through a Naturopathic Doctor. It is an alternative type of medicine that employs an array of practices branded as “natural”. There is a certain device that is being used to translate health status of a certain person then Doc. Breindo Lustiva, Naturopathic Doctor, recommends the natural medicine fitted to the patient. In this type, most of it is available in our surroundings which makes easier for us to access. But some people may not fit to their illness may require a modern medical practitioner.
