The rise in chronic diseases, increasing ecological disasters, raging inequality and growing lack of care for Mother Earth are worrisome trends in our society nowadays. The industrial food and agriculture system plays a vital role in all of them. It is a method of crop and livestock production that involves much more than choosing not to use a synthetic pesticides, fertilizers, genetically modified organisms, antibiotics and growth hormones.
